Choose a small, repeatable moment
A reading habit does not need an elaborate routine. Try one chapter after lunch, a few pages before bed or ten quiet minutes on a weekend. Put the book or saved story where the moment actually happens. A plan that depends on a perfect day will often remain a plan.
Pick something you want to read, not only something you think you should finish.
Use stopping points on purpose
Short chapters can make a session feel complete. If a story is longer, stop where you can remember the situation easily. Save it to your library and leave yourself a sentence about where you paused. It is fine to change books when one is not holding your attention.
Keep a small list of possibilities rather than a demanding stack of obligations.
Make the habit pleasant enough to return to
Try comfortable text size, a quieter screen and fewer notifications. Read with a friend if discussing a story makes it more enjoyable. Track what you finished only if tracking helps. The aim is to make reading available in your life, not to turn leisure into another performance review. A chapter you enjoyed is already a useful reason to continue.
